The three-story Caribbean style home is located in Destin, Florida. The home is sited at the entry into gated neighborhood, so the design had to make a welcoming gesture for the neighborhood and visitors; and meet the program of a large family. The house unfolds as you enter the neighborhood, and all private spaces are tucked into the back of the home on the lot; while the more public spaces such as living room and kitchen are on the street side, with an inviting deep porch.
